EY and Uzbekistan Ministry of Finance discuss target operating model

A meeting between EY and the business process optimization project committee of the Ministry of Finance was held in the Zangiota regional office of the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan.

EY was represented by Ruta Makareviciute, Consulting Practice Partner, Uzbekistan, Askar Obidov, Business Consulting Department Director, Uzbekistan, Gulnara Moldakhmetova, Project Manager, and consultants Kamola Zakirova, Kamila Yusupova, Fariza Negmatova and Albert Galimov.

Several subjects were discussed during the meeting, including stages of the project, selection strategy for the Target Operating Model, and its requirements. The administration of the Zangiota regional office of the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan presented a number of proposals on eliminating existing issues in the information systems (IS) of PFM, opportunities for digitalization of paperwork, as well as optimization of the IS of the Ministry of Finance and its integration with other structures. EY experts provided their comments on the proposals and recommendations for some of them, to be presented for further discussion at a higher level. Moreover, EY reviewed the current work schedule and business processes at the MoF Zangiota regional office. In addition, the parties discussed daily issues faced at the regional office.

Both parties noted the high level of cooperation and involvement and expressed the wish to maintain closer communication in order to achieve even better results during the project.
