EY meets with Uzbekistan Ministry of Finance

On 10 September EY met with the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan as part of a business process optimization project.

A meeting was held on 10 September between EY, the Deputy Minister of Finance Odilbek Isakov, and the working group on the implementation of the Ministry of Finance business process optimization project.

EY was represented by Ruta Makareviciute, Consulting Practice Partner, Uzbekistan, Askar Obidov, Business Consulting Department Director, Uzbekistan, Sergey Ivanov, international expert, Gulnara Moldakhmetova, Project Manager, and consultants Kamola Zakirova, Kamila Yusupova, Fariza Negmatova and Albert Galimov.

During the meeting EY presented the Target Operating Model (TOM) for the project, as well as the plan for transition to the construction of IT Architecture. In the course of the discussion, scope for further cooperation was identified, including an examination of international best practices in the construction of a comprehensive TOM, based on the example of countries such as France, Georgia, and Korea. Resource and technical requirements for the successful implementation of the IT Architecture were also discussed.

Experts from both sides noted the high level of cooperation and interest in the successful implementation of the project. At the end of the meeting the parties reviewed plans for the future and thanked each other for cooperation.
