With a career spanning over three decades, Joanne has extensive experience across many industries, working with both large multinationals and emerging growth companies. Joanne’s particular focus has been on assisting global companies with the challenges of international operations and expansion.
Joanne’s career with EY re-commenced in 2001 after an interesting and successful stint as Chief Financial Officer of a group of companies in the entertainment industry. Joanne is now an Audit Partner at EY in Oceania, as well as the Oceania Assurance Professional Practice Director.
In Joanne’s role as the Oceania Assurance Professional Practice Director, she has ultimate responsibility for EY Oceania’s assurance quality and risk management priorities, including those relating to our Climate Change and Sustainability team.
Joanne is also currently on the Board of the Australian Auditing & Assurance Standards Board.
Joanne has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Tasmania, is an associate member of Chartered Accountants Australia & NZ and a registered company auditor.
How Joanne is building a better working world
Joanne is passionate about the important role auditors play in enabling effective capital markets and is proud to be an auditor. She is also an enthusiastic mentor to EY people and is proud to be the organiser of the EY Ivan Wingreen Award for Outstanding Mentoring, which recognises the crucial role caring mentors play in the development of EY people. She has contributed significantly to her communities with leadership roles in junior sporting organisations and school boards and their sub-committees.
