Switzerland’s healthcare system is globally respected for its quality and innovation. Yet, gaps remain in aligning clinical guidelines with emerging scientific evidence, patient experiences, and real-world implementation.
This roundtable convenes hospital leaders, clinicians, policymakers, researchers, and academic partners to explore how healthcare decisions can better reflect evolving knowledge and data. The agenda focuses on improving alignment between guidelines and practice, highlighting opportunities for more inclusive, evidence-based, and patient-centred care.
The programme is led by Dr. Ella Dehghani (Imperial College London), in partnership with EY Switzerland as host. It is based on insights from over 60 interviews across Swiss healthcare and three thematic research tracks developed with Imperial students, providing insights on:
- Mapping the processes behind Swiss clinical guideline development
- Identifying gaps between scientific evidence and real-world practice
- Designing forward-looking models for personalised, evidence-informed care
