Theo leads the Mining and Metals practice across the Americas and co-leads the National Mining and Metals practice in Canada to enable that kind of compelling transformation industry-wide.
Theo brings more than two decades of experience fostering business transformation and technology innovation across the industry to support core business excellence and enterprise growth. Before joining Ernst & Young LLP, he was Vice President of Digital Innovation at a major mining player, where he enabled the company’s digital transformation. Bilingual in English and French, Theo has gained invaluable mining experience in Canada and abroad, combining his engineering and business skill sets.
A professional engineer in Ontario, Theo holds a PhD in Rock Mechanics from École Polytechnique de Montréal, and a Master of Business Administration with Distinction from the University of Oxford.
How Theo is building a better working world
“I’ve learned from my experience that if you don’t have proper data governance and strategy, it’s quite challenging to embrace digital in this sector. I bring a strong background and perspective on digital transformation, industry 4.0, innovation and operational excellence to our teams to transform our core business practices, and adopt new business models. That helps our clients stay competitive, while also reducing operational risks and improving productivity for the future.”
