How Hanako is shaping the future with confidence
“I have witnessed many instances of profound transformation in my dialogue with organizations and leaders when individuals are willing to express their thoughts and values, and to engage with perspectives which differ from their own.
At the same time, many organizations place such strong emphasis on efficiency and objectivity that they leave little room for different opinions and minority voices, making it difficult for diversity to lead to value creation.
Given rising levels of tension and division in society, I believe DE&I is more than a method of organizational management. It is the foundation for greater mutual understanding among people who see the world differently, and for transforming those differences into value. This is an important initiative that can strengthen organizational creativity and competitiveness, while also making a positive contribution to society. That is why, at EY Japan, we position DE&I as one of the key pillars of our management strategy.
As I believe that DE&I enhances harmony in society, I am exploring its potential within EY Japan and want to connect our insights to value creation for our clients, stakeholders and society.”
