Sean Senvirtne is the founder and CEO of MyDeal.com.au. He launched his first entrepreneurial venture in 2010, an online directory for nightclubs and restaurants. While the business didn’t take off, it unlocked Sean’s passion for business and technology. Learning from his experience, Sean saw an opportunity in the e-commerce landscape and embarked on his vision to build and launch an online e-commerce marketplace. MyDeal.com.au started in 2011 and Sean has continued to invest in, grow and lead the business for the last 17 years.
MyDeal.com.au listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in October 2020. In September 2022, Woolworths Group Limited acquired 80.2% of the company, in a deal that valued MyDeal’s equity at $271.8 million. Sean retained 18.93% as part of the transaction and remains CEO, continuing to build his reputation as a business leader with a tenacious spirit and persistent nature that delivers results.
