EY Switzerland expands its consulting services in the public sector with an acquisition

Zurich, 5 January 2026 – EY Switzerland announces the acquisition of couniq, a Bern-based IT and business consultancy, effective January 1, 2026.

The auditing and consulting firm EY Switzerland has acquired couniq, a prestigious Bern-based consulting firm, effective January 1, 2026. By acquiring this company, specialized in IT and digital transformation in the public sector, EY is expanding its consulting services for government agencies and the public sector.

Axel Timm, Partner and Head of Government & Public Sector at EY Switzerland, said: “We are delighted to welcome couniq’s employees to EY Switzerland.
