Felipe is Partner at Ernst & Young – Colombia and Financial Accounting Advisory Services Leader for EY LATAM, and Market Segment Leader in Bogotá.
He has more than 23 years of professional experience in Latin America and the US. He has led the audit and FS conversion from IFRS and US GAAP as well as important economic groups in Colombia and Latin America.
Felipe earned a PhD (C) from Pontificia Universidad Católida de Peru, DBA – Doctor of Business Administration (C) from Maastricht School of Management, an MBA from EADA Busines School Barcelona, Global MBA from Pontificia Universidad Católida de Peru, MPhil (Master of Philosophy) from Maastricht School of Management, MIL (Master of International Leadership from EADA Busines School Barcelona. He is an MBA and MS invited professor at top universities in LATAM and Spain. In addition, he is an Advisory Corporate Board Member for the HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management and EADA Business School, Barcelona.
How Felipe is building a better working world
For several years, Felipe has been working tirelessly with the Colombian Government and regulators to advance IFRS adoption in Colombia and giving economics advice to the Central Bank. He was president of the ad-honorem technical committee of the industrial sector, which supports the Technical Council of Public Accountancy. He is a member of the IFRS committee of advisors for the National Government and a member of the regulation desk of Law 1314 (IFRS), led by the Ministry of Commerce and Finance and Public Credit. Additionally, he helped two large universities create a completely new career program in Colombia, as part of a Bachelor of Science degree in International Accounting.
