Barry leads EY's consulting practice in Ireland, providing management consulting services to clients across all industry sectors in a range of specialisms. These include supply chain management; risk and enterprise resilience; technology and finance function transformation, among others.
Barry took up the role of Head of Consulting in early 2020, joining the Irish Leadership Team. Previously, as a Consulting Partner, he focused on helping EY utilities clients with major business transformation, operational efficiency, change management, systems implementations and outsourcing programmes. He drives the growth of EY Performance Improvement business in utilities.
Prior to joining EY, Barry worked as a management consultant for over 16 years. Additionally, he worked with many of the major utility companies in Ireland and the UK, recommending business and industry transformation programmes.
Barry has a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology and a PhD in Biochemistry from University College Dublin.

Barry is passionate about the challenges facing the utilities business. He works with EY clients to understand and develop results that solve these challenges. To help build a better working world, he also assists with providing consulting and systems integration services to companies in the energy industry.
