Carol Murphy is Head of Markets for EY Ireland and a Consulting Partner, responsible for shaping and executing the firm’s go-to-market strategy, bringing the best of EY to our clients, across industries and sectors, services lines and alliances. She is a member of the EY Ireland Board and the EY UK & Ireland Super Region Leadership Team.
Previously, Carol led EY Ireland’s IT Advisory and Technology Risk practices, advising private and public sector clients on how to leverage technology to deliver business transformation and innovation, while balancing risk, regulation and resilience.
She has led major IT transformation, cybersecurity and data protection engagements, and has worked with clients across a range of sectors, including energy, financial services, government, health, transport, advanced manufacturing and retail.
A champion of inclusion, and passionate about technology as an enabler for business and society, she represents EY on the Connecting Women in Technology network, co-sponsors the 30% Club Women in Tech Programme, and speaks and publishes regularly on NIS2, AI and cybersecurity.
Carol holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Management Information Systems from University College Dublin and is a qualified ICT trainer, as well as PMI and PRINCE2 certified.
