Tanzania Finance Act 2021 Tax Changes Webinar

Join us for a webinar covering updates on tax changes brought by the Finance Act, 2021 and a panel discussion on international developments addressing the tax challenges arising from the digitalization of the economy and what it means for Tanzania or Africa as a whole – Inclusive Framework – Two-Pillar solution.

Tanzania’s Minister for Finance and Planning presented the 2021 / 2022 budget on 10 June 2021. Shortly after, the Tanzanian Parliament passed the Finance Bill, which was assented by the President and become law on 1 July 2021. Our presenters will cover the updates on tax changes brought by the Finance Act, 2021 during the webinar.

On the other hand, the participants will also have an opportunity to listen and interact with our panelists discussing Inclusive Framework Countries and Jurisdictions who have joined a new Two-Pillar Plan to reform international taxation rules and what it means for Africa and Tanzania.

  • after several years of intensive negotiations, 130 members of the Inclusive Framework have issued a statement on a two-pillar solution to address the tax challenges arising from the digitalisation of the economy. ·     
  •  130 countries and jurisdictions representing more than 90% of global GDP have joined a new two-pillar plan to reform international taxation rules.

The panel will therefore be discussing these international developments and the efforts being taken to achieve a global consensus on the tax challenges arising from the digitalisation of the economy,  developed solutions, and how they will assist all countries in rebuilding their economies in a post-Covid-19 environment for Tanzania, African and beyond.
