What is Business Transformation?

In our Business Transformation team, you’ll be helping organisations evolve and thrive in a changing world. Whether it’s improving how services are delivered or making the most of major investments, our team designs and delivers solutions that create real impact.

We work on large-scale programs that involve many stakeholders and span years—from planning and strategy to implementation and operational handover. Our goal is to help clients become more efficient, resilient, and future-ready.

Digital Transformation Strategies

What could you be doing?

  • Be part of a collaborative team solving complex problems and driving change
  • Help design new ways of working through operating models and transformation roadmaps
  • Support workshops with clients to understand their needs and co-create solutions
  • Analyse data to inform decisions and track progress
  • Build implementation plans and schedules for major programs
  • Contribute to business cases for capital investment
  • Work across sectors like government, financial services, infrastructure, and health

What will you bring to the team?

  • Have an interest in transformation, infrastructure, or capital works
  • Understand or want to learn about project management, Agile delivery, and digital services
  • Communicate clearly and enjoy working in teams
  • Are comfortable with tools like Excel, Microsoft Project, JIRA, and Power Platform—or keen to learn
  • Think critically and want to understand how different parts of a business fit together
  • Are open to learning and growing through hands-on experience

Your career journey in Business Transformation

As a graduate, you’ll be part of our 12-month graduate development program that has been developed for graduates in all service lines, and is focused on connection, learning and celebration.

The program will provide you with the opportunity to network with your peers from other service lines and geographies. Running in parallel to your technical learning, you will develop leadership skills to become a successful graduate, and as you grow as a transformative leader.

As a Business Transformation graduate, you’ll take part in:-

  • The Oceania Consulting Excellence Program (OCEP)—a hands-on training experience with case simulations, client role plays, and team presentations
  • Monthly Case Clubs to explore current topics and build technical skills in a collaborative setting
  • Learning opportunities in transformation frameworks, Agile, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and tools like Copilot, Jira, Power BI, and Excel

Undertaking your CA Program with the EY organisation may allow you to receive a credit for the Audit and Risk core subject in the Program. For eligible employees, this means removal of nine weeks of study helping you to complete your CA formal study component in a shorter time frame.

As a vacationer, after our company induction, you’ll start developing an understanding of how our Business Transformation teams work and will be ready to work alongside teams on real client projects. You’ll meet other new vacationers from your office.

Your buddy and your counsellor will help you learn your way around the organisation, set your goals and plan your development while you’re here. You'll be well looked after with ongoing learning throughout the Vacationer Program with sessions facilitated by our Learning and Development team, Campus Recruitment team and service line specific training. The Vacationer Program is a great way to gain valuable audit experience, skills and networks to start building your career.
