What is Financial Services Risk Management?

The Financial Services Risk Management team helps assess and transform a financial organisation’s risk management and compliance function to improve performance and effectiveness. You’ll work with organisations to align the risk management strategy with the wider business and improve costs to help achieve performance objectives.
We have a number of pillars of work within the Financial Services Risk Management team – this includes conduct, culture and compliance, prudential, risk data and reporting, financial crime and credit risk.
 
 

What could you be doing?

  • Help design leading-edge transformation programs
  • Gain hands-on experience in delivering projects and programs involving government reform, regulatory change and business and/or technology transformation
  • Assist clients with the delivery of their programs leading to service delivery improvements and/or successful investment outcomes
  • Contribute to business development and account management activities such as pursuits, proposals and help managing key relationships
  • Help improve process efficiency, effectiveness and business performance

Your career journey in Financial Services Risk Management

As a graduate, you’ll be part of our 12-month graduate development program that has been developed for graduates in all service lines, and is focused on connection, learning and celebration.

The program will provide you with the opportunity to network with your peers from other service lines and geographies. Running in parallel to your technical learning, you will develop leadership skills to become a successful graduate, and as you grow as a transformative leader.

As a Financial Services Risk Management graduate, you’ll take part in:-

  • Targeted learning and development opportunities provided by the Financial Services Risk Management team, equipping you with the tools and capabilities for providing ‘leading’ solutions

As a vacationer, after our company induction, you’ll start developing an understanding of how our Financial Services Risk Management teams work and will be ready to work alongside teams on real client projects. You’ll meet other new vacationers from your office.

Your buddy and your counsellor will help you learn your way around the organisation, set your goals and plan your development while you’re here. You'll be well looked after with ongoing learning throughout the Vacationer Program with sessions facilitated by our Learning and Development team, Campus Recruitment team and service line specific training. The Vacationer Program is a great way to gain valuable audit experience, skills and networks to start building your career.
