The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino hit some serious obstacles when the pandemic took hold. When the world shut down, the casino required new ways to enable seamless and secure betting online, and a vastly improved digital user experience.
Solution
EY teams developed a web and app resource that includes authentication capabilities. This allowed the Hard Rock to identify guests and their VIP tier. Paired with GPS technology, our solution only presents guests with relevant and tier-specific content. Equipped with Bluetooth and NFC (near-field communication ) technology, guests can pay from their mobile wallet. The project created a change in the Hard Rock's internal IT team development process and CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous delivery ) toolset. Sprints were completed more quickly and with fewer defects, and velocity saw an uptick of 20% over the course of the project. User testing has shown a 98% task completion rate and high satisfaction score.
