Barkin is a Senior Vice President of Ernst & Young Orenda Corporate Finance Inc. and leader of the Capital Markets business for Canada providing advisory and capital raising services for public and private companies.
During his career, which spans more than two decades in financial services, Barkin has supported the growth of organizations across a diverse group of industries. His experience includes loan structuring and underwriting, project finance, workouts, leverage finance and risk management.
Prior to joining EY, Barkin held relationship management and senior leadership positions with RBC Royal Bank, BMO Bank of Montreal, and HSBC Bank Canada where he was accountable for a significant book of business in commercial, corporate and international banking transactions.
Barkin holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (with distinction) from the University of Toronto and an Executive MBA from the Rotman School of Management.
