Humayun Jafrani

Humayun is Managing Partner and Leader of our Financial Services Assurance team and a member of the Canadian Executive Leadership Team.

For more than two decades, Humayun has applied his deep understanding of the complete banking and financial services industry to serve our largest, most complex global banking clients on capital markets, wealth and asset management, auditing and accounting, and insurance matters.

He has been the signing partner for large Canadian banks, foreign banks and other public companies, and is currently the Global Client Service Partner for one of Canada’s largest banks. He participates in meetings with banking partners across the Big Four professional services firms and with the Canadian banking regulator, the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI).

As a respected industry advisor, Humayun is a sought-after speaker, trainer and advisor on accounting and auditing principles. He also leads our Financial Services Audit Committee Chairs network, and served as the Canadian Ambassador to the EY Centre of Excellence for Board Matters, and Chair of EY’s United Way Campaign.

Humayan holds a BSc from the London School of Economics and Political Science in the UK, and has FCPA, FCA and CA designations.
