On 21 November 2022, the UK Prime Minister made immigration-related announcements in a speech to the Confederation of British Industry (CBI). Notably, he dispelled the reported notion that the UK would pursue an immigration arrangement with the EU similar to that between the EU and Switzerland, which allows for the free movement of people between Switzerland and the EU.
