On 15 September 2021, the Indonesian Ministry of Law and Human Rights issued Regulation No. 34 which covers the provision of visas and Stay Permits as part of the Government’s plans to control Covid-19 and implement the National Economic Recovery measures. This regulation covers several issues, including entry restrictions, immigration checkpoints and visas. It replaces Regulation No. 27.

The Directorate General of Immigration (DGI) issued guidance for the implementation of Regulation No. 34 on 17 September 2021 (DGI 0196/2021).

Further, on 24 September 2021, the Ministry of Manpower issued a Circular Letter (SE) No. 11/2021, which addresses Validation of RPTKA (“Pengesahan RPTKA” or Work Permit) Services during the handling of the spread of Covid-19.
