Effective 1 September 2023, nationals of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) can enter Kenya for business purposes without a visa. The elimination of the visa requirement for business visitors from the DRC is aimed at facilitating free movement of individuals within the East African Community member states. In July 2022, the DRC became the seventh member of the East African Community. In July 2023, the Kenyan government issued a directive regarding the facilitation of a visa waiver for DRC nationals traveling to Kenya.
