Kostas is a Partner within EY’s Consulting practice in Greece, leading EY’s Actuarial Services in the country and the Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe & Central Asia (CESA) region. He has also been a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (FIA) in the UK since 2011.
He joined EY in 2012 and has over 14 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on the life, non-life, pension and investment areas. Specifically, Kostas is the EY Partner responsible for IFRS 17 implementation projects for insurance companies, across Greece and the CESA region. He has also delivered multiple training sessions and participated in EY IFRS 17 campaigns.
Kostas has led several big insurance transformation projects, as well as regulatory reform projects for regulators in the region. He has extensive experience in product innovation, financial and risk modelling projects, Solvency II (SII) internal models, Market Consistent Embedded Value (MCEV) / European Embedded Value (EEV) and Total Enterprise Value (TEV) valuations, IFRS and SII reporting, Risk Management Framework projects, pension transformation, consumer protection, and Packaged Retail and Insurance-based Investment Products (PRIIPS) projects.
Additionally, Kostas is skilled in technical provisions reviews, capital modelling, non-life insurance products pricing and optimization of reinsurance structures.
Owing to their extensive experience and excellent cooperation with clients and all stakeholders, Kostas and his team have won the biggest share of the insurance market in Greece and remain the top preference of the market’s largest and most influential players.
