EY announces 10 new Equity Partners

EY is delighted to announce 10 new Equity Partners bringing the total number of Partners in EY across the island of Ireland to 93.

EY is delighted to announce 10 new Equity Partners bringing the total number of Partners in EY across the island of Ireland to 93.

Seven of the 10 new Partners have been admitted to the partnership from within EY, while a further three are direct admit Partners.

  • Grit Young has joined EY’s Strategy & Transactions practice. She joins as Partner within the Valuations & Modelling team.
  • Paul Pierotti has joined EY as an external admit Partner in the firm’s growing Data Analytics & Emerging Technology team.
  • Niall Corrigan joins the partnership from the firm’s Financial Services Consulting practice and Pat Breslin has joined that practice as an external admit Partner.
  • Two new Partners join the partnership from Financial Services Assurance: Kieran Daly and Ramakrishnan Ramanathan.
  • Sinead Colreavy joins the partnership from Financial Services Tax, while Paraic Waters joins the partnership from the firm’s Tax practice, based in Galway.
  • Sean Casey joins the partnership from the firm’s Consulting practice, based in the firm’s Cork office, while Tom Slattery joins the partnership from Technology Consulting based in Dublin.

Grit Young
has joined EY as Partner in the firm’s Valuation & Modelling practice. She is an experienced M&A adviser with more than 15 years’ experience specialising in valuations of businesses, intangible assets and financial instruments. She supports clients on a wide range of valuation questions often at the heart of a transaction or transformation. She has experience across a range of sectors, with an increasing focus on technology. She holds a first-class honours degree in International Business from the University of Brighton and is an Associate Chartered Accountant.

Sean Casey has been admitted as Partner in Consulting, leading the firm’s Energy and Assets practice. With extensive energy, utilities and business experience Sean has held various senior management roles within industry including CEO (Interim) & COO of Ervia and Managing Director of Bord Gas Networks. He began his career with ESB, spending 17 years in various engineering and management positions where the he built the foundations of a career in power and utilities. Although he works nationally for EY, Sean is based in his home county of Cork. Graduating from University College Cork, Sean holds a Master’s in Business Administration and Management.

Tom Slattery has been admitted as Partner within the firm’s Technology Consulting practice. Tom joined EY in 2017, having previously held a range of senior technology roles within industry and consulting, working across sectors including public sector, financial services, utilities and retail. Within EY, Tom specialises in supporting clients in the delivery of large transformation programmes. Tom holds an MA in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin.

Niall Corrigan has been admitted as Partner leading Financial Services Customer & Digital Consulting in the Performance Improvement practice. He has worked in a strategic advisory and change delivery capacity across financial services, travel, construction and technology clients for the last 11 years. He has also been involved in several start-ups as an employee, an owner, an advisor and a mentor. Niall holds an MBA from Trinity College Dublin, an MEng from University of Edinburgh and a Diploma in Digital Marketing from the Digital Marketing Institute, Dublin

Pat Breslin has joined EY to lead the Financial Services Technology Consulting team in Ireland, bringing with him more than 20 years’ experience in banking, business & systems integration, technology outsourcing, programme management, core banking and technology architecture. Prior to joining EY, Pat has worked in the banking, capital markets and pharmaceutical industries, and spent extended periods working in the UK and Eastern Europe. Pat holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from UCD and a Master’s degree in Management Science (Smurfit Business School).

Paraic Waters has been admitted as Partner in Tax and is the first Partner to be appointed in the firm’s Galway office. Paraic has more than 15 years’ experience with EY, having held previous roles in the Dublin and London offices. Paraic advises start-up, domestic and multinational businesses across multiple sectors on all areas of Irish tax. Paraic also works closely with entrepreneurs and is part of the firm’s EY Entrepreneur Of The Year programme. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and the Irish Taxation Institute.

Sinéad Colreavy has more than 15 years’ experience in the international tax arena and has been admitted as Partner leading the firm’s Financial Services Tax Technology and Transformation group – a unique offering in Ireland. Sinéad works with a wide range of banking, capital markets and asset management clients assisting and challenging them to think of new ways to manage their local and international tax risk. Her team combines tax technical, accounting, IT and ERP professionals. Sinéad is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland and Irish Tax Institute.

Paul Pierotti joins the firm as an external admit Partner in the firm’s Data Analytics & Emerging Technology practice. Passionate about telling stories with data, Paul uses data to help organisations make better strategic decisions and to improve customer and enterprise processes that deliver better outcomes for clients. Paul has worked in the Analytics arena for 25 years, primarily as a management consultant, leading client projects in health, banking, public sector, high tech, life sciences, energy, telecoms, retail and human services. Paul holds a BSc in Mathematics and an MSc in Industrial Mathematics from the University of Strathclyde.

Ramakrishnan Ramanathan has been admitted as Partner with EY Ireland Financial Services and has more than 15 years’ experience in the provision of audit, accounting and advisory services to high-profile international financial services clients. He is also the Assurance Sector Leader for Structured Finance in Ireland. His clients include some of the US and Europe’s largest banks and fund managers whom he advises on structuring, regulation, valuation issues, accounting and disclosure. Ram graduated from Bangalore University with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and is a fellow of the Associate Chartered Certified Accountants. 

Kieran Daly has been admitted as Partner within EY Ireland Financial Services Wealth & Asset Management industry practice at EY. He has more than 13 years’ experience supporting a broad range of clients in the provision of audit and advisory services across the Wealth & Asset Management, Banking and Stockbroking industries. He advises clients on a diverse range of topics including regulation implementation, technical accounting, investment valuation, asset quality assessments, loan reviews and fund governance. Kieran is a Chartered Accountant with a first-class honours degree in European Commerce with German from University College Cork.
