Thirteen years later, Energy LogistiX (ELX for short), is a major player in the provision of services in transportation, warehousing and logistics to the oil and gas, mining-renewable energy and defence sectors.

Positioning itself as a partner within its stakeholders’ supply chains rather than a contract transport and logistics provider, ELX forms strong contractual alliances with stakeholders and incorporates its self- developed IP Fleet Smart Service System into their logistics network.

Fleet Smart is a package that combines ELX’s technology, its people and their skills, and the company’s equipment. Shaun has prioritised the integration of these components into a system that offers stakeholders risk reduction and reliability in the efficient delivery of freight.

A successful athlete in his youth, Shaun attributes his success in both sports and entrepreneurship to courage, dynamism and self-belief. To maximise the potential of the links between business and sport, Shaun and his wife have founded a company called PRD23 which supports and mentors young athletes and young aspiring business leaders.

In little over a decade, ELX has grown from purchasing its first Prime Mover to being an industry big hitter securing contracts with prestigious partners and diversifying geographically to other national sites.
