DOS has expanded its expedited B-1/B-2 visa appointment pilot to additional consular posts through 31 December 2026.
On 18 August 2026, the Department of State (DOS) published an updated list of US embassies and consulates participating in the nonimmigrant visa (NIV) expedited appointment pilot program. This pilot program, which is scheduled to run through 31 December 2026, allows eligible applicants to pay an additional $750 fee to schedule a visitor (B-1/B-2) visa interview within 10 business days, subject to appointment availability.
