As the Canadian EY Private Tax Leader, David leads programs to drive growth in the EY Private practice across the 14 local offices in Canada. In this role, David has supported private companies and their owners achieve their ambitions by developing innovative tax planning strategies, as well as educating and advising companies on tax compliance.
Prior to David working at EY, he worked as a tax partner and co-managing partner for over 20 years. Through his career, he has been able to work with a variety of industries and has developed the knowledge and expertise that has made him revered by colleagues and sought after for his professional expertise.
David has hosted several private company webcasts, as well as moderated and led round tables and learning events for private business owners and professionals. He has also been published in top tier publications, such as, The Globe and Mail, National Post, Forbes and the Toronto Region Board of Trade Magazine.
David holds his CPA, CA, and TEP designation as well as his Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Toronto.
