James Zante

James is a Partner in EY Canada’s Technology Consulting service and the Canadian Leader for Life & Health Insurance Technology Transformation. He helps insurers modernize core technology platforms, transform operating models, and deploy data and technology to improve business and customer outcomes. He also leads large-scale risk, finance and actuarial transformation programs.

Since joining EY in 2016, James has led complex transformation engagements across the insurance, banking, capital markets, pension and private equity sectors. His experience spans risk, finance, actuarial, operations, data and technology functions. He was instrumental in establishing a global Centre of Excellence supporting insurance clients worldwide and helped develop innovative managed services designed to automate and improve financial reporting processes for insurers.

Drawing on nearly 20 years of experience in financial services and technology prior to joining EY, James brings a practical, integrated perspective to complex business transformation. His background in global product strategy, enterprise technology and strategic alliances enables him to help organizations navigate change, unlock value and accelerate growth.
