Janice brings 30 years’ EY experience working with clients across every sub-sect of the insurance space. Her work spans life, property & casualty and workers compensation as well as re-insurers and brokers. That wealth of expertise fuels her leadership, and shapes her ability to coach, guide and support our practitioners nationwide.
Janice is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified Public Accountant (US, Illinois) and a Certified Management Accountant. In 2020, Janice was awarded the FCPA designation. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Waterloo.
A community builder in every sense of the world, Janice is a current board member and former chair of the board at the Grand River Hospital. She continues to make similar contributions at FCPA Ontario, the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, as well as the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, where she is Chair of the Audit Advisory Committee. Keenly interested in supporting next-gen talent, Janice is also a Fellow at the University of Waterloo, where she contributes her time as a student mentor.
