Kabelo Leeka

With more than 19 years of experience in the metals and minerals sector, Kabelo has a strong technical skillset in process engineering, digital transformation and operational excellence. As the EY Canada Metals & Mining Operations Excellence Practice Leader, he is dedicated to helping companies translate strategy into daily operations by integrating digital, process and asset management to enhance throughput, reliability and cost efficiency.

Having held progressively senior and diverse roles in the metals and minerals sector across North America and Africa, Kabelo is recognized for his ability to simplify complex challenges and collaborate with leadership to break down silos. His experience includes leading operating model deployments, asset strategy programs, and digital roadmaps and engineering workshops across mines, driving performance improvements and building frontline capability.

He holds an Executive MBA from the Gordon Institute of Business Science, University of Pretoria, and a BSc (Eng) in Metallurgy and Materials from the University of the Witwatersrand.
