With over two decades of experience in risk management, regulatory compliance and due diligence, Karelyn helps shape EY’s AI assurance, risk and governance capabilities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver long-term value for clients. She delivers pragmatic, scalable and future-focused solutions that leverage technology to drive impact, build credibility, and unlock organizational potential.

Karelyn is a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant (Ontario), and an American Certified Public Accountant (Illinois). She holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree with High Distinction from the University of Toronto and professional qualifications to practice in risk management, anti-money laundering, investigations and artificial intelligence.

Karelyn began her career at EY in audit, and she later moved into industry, focusing upon IFRS implementation with listed entities. Prior to returning to EY, Karelyn spent approximately 14 years with a provincial regulatory body, holding several leadership roles in regulatory operations, enforcement and technology.
