Karen Hutchison

Karen focuses on helping top teams adopt the alignment discipline they need for effective and efficient execution of technology implementation programs. The EY Strategic Alignment approach draws on EY’s depth of experience in technology implementations in the consumer sector, including recent work at a major Canadian retailer on their SAP and Dayforce implementations.  

Karen’s pragmatic approach combines advice, facilitation and team coaching, and opens up clearer communication between the top team and working levels. She and her team begin each project by getting to know the executive leaders, the strategic challenges and the organizational culture. They then craft a custom approach employing proven techniques in the context of tech transformation to tackle the most important challenges. They balance their focus on both outcomes and creating a sense of interpersonal connection. 

As a Master Certified Coach with 25 years of experience with EY, Karen has applied knowledge of technology transformations, governance, strategy, high-performing teams and organizational culture. She and her team have worked with top teams on technology programs across a wide variety of organizations as they navigate everything from digital business transformation to organizational operating model changes. 

Karen has a Master of Industrial Relations degree from Queen’s University. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts, Psychology, from the University of Western Ontario.
