In a career spanning more than 20 years both on the front lines of a retailer and as an advisor to retail and consumer products companies, Monica has a passion for the sector and a wealth of experience.
This deep retail experience has positioned Monica well to also serve clients in Canada’s emerging cannabis sector as EY Canada’s National Cannabis Leader. While the industry may be relatively new, the opportunities and challenges it faces have much in common with the retail and consumer products sector. Monica advises license stakeholders and affiliates on IPO readiness, governance, risk management, process design/implementation, M&A, change management and functional design.
Monica is also a leader within EY’s Central Canada Retail and Consumer Products consulting practice, advising companies on a wide range of opportunities to optimize their business and stay competitive in a globalized environment. She also held an interim executive role with a global retailer for several years.
