As a partner with EY-Parthenon, Rafael provides clients with M&A strategy and execution support services. He brings significant experience leading large-scale integration and divestiture programs, from planning through execution, as well as transaction strategy and diligence, operating model design, operational optimization, technology strategy and organizational change management.
Rafael is focused on the energy sector. He’s advised Canadian power and utilities, and oil and gas companies on domestic and international transactions, and has authored points of view on M&A and the energy transition. He also brings experience in financial services, having supported insurance and banking clients with their M&A and transformation programs. Prior to joining EY, he held business development roles for top-tier software and telecommunications companies in Colombia.
Rafael holds an MBA from Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, a specialization in Commercial Management from Universidad de la Sabana, Colombia, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Colombia.
