Specializing in the energy sector, Troy has provided valued tax support to clients both in Canada and abroad. His experience includes advising on mergers and acquisitions and corporate reorganization, helping define shareholder remuneration, planning estates and supporting on cross-border matters. Troy is well versed on IFRS, Canadian GAAP and US GAAP standards, having led the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions, note disclosures and non-routine matters, including business combinations and uncertain tax positions.
Troy holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Memorial University of Newfoundland. As a Chartered Professional Accountant, he regularly presents at tax conferences and sits on the board of the Association of Chartered Professional Accountants of Newfoundland & Labrador.
