This session will provide a focused, practical update on key developments in Swiss GAAP FER, followed by an insightful discussion on fraud risks and prevention.
In the Swiss GAAP FER part, we start by providing a short overview of the revised FER 16 Pension Benefit Obligations standard and the current projects at the FER Commission. We will then explore selected challenging fact patterns and common pitfalls observed in practice. Although all fact patterns will be discussed based on Swiss GAAP FER, the content will also be of interest to practitioners used to the IFRS Accounting Standards.
In the second half of the webcast, we will shift gears to examine the concept of fraud highlighting how deceptive practices impact individuals and organizations. Through real-life examples, including cases of corporate misconduct, we will illustrate the various forms fraudulent activity can take. Participants will gain practical insights into identifying red flags, strengthening internal awareness and mitigating fraud risks in their organizations.
