Minister for Finance Simon Harris has announced the details of Budget 2027

Budget 2027 focuses on sustaining growth, strengthening competitiveness and addressing key challenges including housing, infrastructure, energy transition and demographic change. The Government has also introduced measures to support innovation, investment and entrepreneurship, while continuing to invest corporation tax windfalls in Ireland's long term economic resilience.

For businesses, the Budget includes reductions in administrative burdens, enhancements to the R&D tax credit and a lower 31% capital gains tax rate. Individuals and families will benefit from income tax changes, childcare supports and housing measures, alongside the introduction of a new tax efficient Investment Account designed to encourage long term saving and investment.

On 19 October the Government published Finance (No.2) Bill 2026, as initiated. The Finance Bill primarily seeks to implement the tax elements of Budget 2027 measures announced on 6 October.
