EY Australia has appointed Partner Ian Laslett as the new EY Studio+ Leader for Oceania, the organisation’s customer-centric transformation practice.

Based in Canberra, Laslett brings senior digital leadership experience across Australia and the UK, spanning customer-centric transformation and major digital programs. He has held leadership roles including Managing Director at Reading Room Australia and Adelphi Digital Australia and led the integration of Adelphi’s Australian operations into EY Australia in 2018.

Since joining EY Australia in 2018, Laslett has worked on transformation programs for major government departments and most recently led the EY Studio+ Customer Technology practice, delivering digitally enabled projects working with EY’s technology alliances.

Laslett’s appointment follows the departure of former EY Studio+ Leader for Oceania, Stu French, who is relocating to Germany.

EY Studio+ was launched globally in 2025 as a unified business unit bringing together design, customer experience, data, marketing and technology. It helps clients transform for the AIdriven era, collaborating with CMOs and business leaders to unlock new value and deliver better customer and citizen experiences.

Comments attributable to Ian Laslett, EY Studio+ Leader for Oceania:

“I am honoured to take on the role of EY Studio+ Leader for Oceania at a time when customercentric transformation is more important than ever.”

“EY Studio+ brings together capabilities across customer experience, technology and innovation to deliver real value for our clients and their customers.”

“I’ve always believed in putting customers at the centre of every project. For EY Studio+, that means deeply understanding what matters to them and designing outcomes that meet, and exceed, their expectations.”

“I am passionate about transforming experiences for our client’s customers and citizens and believe that design, user experience and technology work hand in hand to deliver projects that fundamentally make a difference in people’s lives. This includes delivering seamless online experiences and AI enabled digital projects that are used by millions of people each year.”

“I’d like to thank Stu French for his exceptional leadership and the pivotal role he played in establishing EY Studio+ in Oceania. I wish him and his family every success as they relocate overseas.
