EY Belgium Accounting, Compliance and Reporting Partner

Whoever said that accounting is boring is missing out on the best career of his life. Just like you, we’re ambitious people who happen to love numbers. Are you the next bright, clever and skilled mind that knows how to make every business a success?

At EY, our Accounting, Compliance and Reporting (ACR) professionals are committed to meet the financial reporting standards of the entire business spectrum: start-ups, family businesses, small and medium-sized enterprises and large multinational companies. You’ll definitely get a large and varied customer portfolio as well as various types of assignments.

The corporate trinity

  • Accounting

Book revenues and costs in the right accounts.

  • Compliance

Bring clarity into the numbers: what do they say?

  • Reporting

Book revenues and costs in the right accounts.

There is no escaping Accounting, Compliance and Reporting: it is the beating heart of every organization. It determines if they can make their dreams come true. Our ACR consultants and executives help businesses to make that dream tangible.

But what will you be doing as an ACR Consultant? One thing is clear: you won’t be just another accountant. You will gradually become a trusted business advisor for our clients – their go-to person, their right-hand man or woman. This means you will provide innovative solutions tailored to the clients’ needs and help them to create a competitive advantage.

    More about the job

You will be responsible for different tasks:

    • Accounting & compliance

You will assist clients in their financial and fiscal processes (e.g. preparation and interpretation of year-end closings, audit assistance, tax and VAT returns, …) according to the (inter)national laws and regulations.

    • Reporting

Depending on your interests and experience, you get the opportunity to reflect client performance in management reports, prepare the balance sheet and financial statements, cash flow statements, etc.

    • Tax compliance

Tax laws and regulations are constantly changing. Our client trusts you to follow up on this and respect the latest rules in place, from tax filing to tax planning.

    • Temporary assignments

Depending on the client’s needs, you will assist in general accounting, credit control, internal optimization projects, etc.

    • Start-up and scale-up assistance

You will be an active member of the EYnovation ecosystem, with a hands-on and entrepreneurial approach.

    • Digitalization

Many companies continue to process invoices, payslips and tax returns on paper. It’s your job to help them transition into a digital leader and fully optimize their financial business processes – from the moment a transaction is booked until completely processed. In short: you help them to work better and faster so they can focus on their core activities.

    • Advice

Apart from getting the work done, you will also act as a reliable and resourceful advisor to the customer. Wherever you see opportunities to optimize the customer’s books and finances, you proactively and constructively convey the message.

    Certified workforce

If you’re an ambitious accountant or tax consultant, we’ve fully got you covered. We encourage and facilitate all accountants and tax consultants to get an officially recognized certification issued by the Belgian national Institute for Tax Advisors and Accountants (ITAA/IAB/IEC).
