Planting trees in Canadian cities. Climbing the CN Tower in Toronto to raise funds for the World Wildlife Fund. Collecting data on municipal traction on environmental issues for Climate Reality Project Canada. At EY, our Eco-Innovators are continuously seeking out ways to join forces with community groups and address climate change collaboratively.
Turning January into Veganuary, each year our Eco-Innovators launch a national campaign to help EY people understand how our food choices affect health and the environment. Throughout the month, over 930 EY people engaged in events and challenges that encouraged plant-based eating, with teams offering vegan tastings that span sushi, smoothies and more.
Working with Earth Day Canada, Eco-Innovators across our 16 offices ran campaigns to collect and divert more than 1,000 lbs of electronic waste from Canadian landfills.
In collaboration with Earth Day Canada, our Eco-Innovators rallied 100 EY participants in a sustainable mobility challenge. This initiative logged 830 sustainable commutes (from bike rides to carpools to public transit), dialing down our collective C02 emissions by 2100 kg (over 2 tonnes).
Leading a Sustainable Fashion Sprint, our Eco-Innovators got EY folks across the country taking action through clothing drives, swaps and webinars geared to give unwanted clothing a second life.
I’m passionate about giving back to the environment. To promote the circular economy, we organized an e-waste collection drive, street clean-up and clothing donation sorting initiatives. I encourage everyone to take part in creating long-lasting sustainable change.

We’ve been gaining momentum with eco-friendly initiatives such as Veganuary to encourage positive sustainable changes. Collaborating with local businesses, getting support from stakeholders, and having enthusiastic team participation are propelling us forward.

As an advocate of sustainability, I’m passionately committed to making the world a place where we, and generations to come, can thrive. When I learned of the EY Eco-Innovators Network, I jumped in to support the amazing efforts being made, share ideas, meet, encourage and inspire others across the firm.
