A cybersecurity leader with a focus in energy, critical infrastructure, and utilities, Amir Ashuri has built a 20+ year career in IT/OT (Information / Operational Technology) Cybersecurity, Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) and OT/Industrial Control System (ICS) Engineering.
Currently the Director of Cyber Risk and Resilience - Energy and Industrials at EY Canada, he most recently managed Cybersecurity GRC with a major Canadian transport company, having previously led Cybersecurity GRC and OT teams at a major North American energy infrastructure company.
Amir spent his early career years as an OT/ICS Engineer, designing, building and operating OT/Industrial Control Systems for large energy, utilities and critical infrastructure companies prior to transitioning into securing such systems against cyber threats.
Amir is a Professional Engineer, having obtained his degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary.
