With over 30 years of professional services and private sector experience across both public and private sectors, Bill serves as the Managing Partner for Risk Management at EY Canada. Previously, he held the positions of Western Consulting Market Leader and Consulting Quality Co-Leader.
Bill's extensive experience in client service has prepared him for this role advising the firm and its professionals on a wide range of regulatory, independence, client and engagement acceptance, and other risk-related matters. Over the course of his career, he has practiced external audit, information systems audit, management and information technology consulting and internal audit across many sectors. His private sector experience includes senior leadership roles in a technology company. As a former Governor of the Canadian Audit and Accountability Foundation, he possesses a keen understanding of the importance of audit, oversight and accountability in Canada.
