Daniel Baer is a Partner in EY’s Private company practice, serving as EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® Canada Program Director and Co-Director of the EY Entrepreneurs Access Network.
With more than 30 years of experience, Daniel advises clients on auditing, accounting and business strategy, focusing on medium-sized owner-managed and public companies in the retail, distribution and real estate sectors. His technical knowledge includes US and Canadian GAAP, International Accounting Standards and SEC reporting, with involvement in Canadian and cross-border IPOs.
Daniel actively contributes to the community, holding leadership roles on the boards and committees of the McCord Museum, Stewart Museum, Montréal General Hospital Foundation and McConnell Foundation. He is also a frequent speaker on retail and consumer products topics. Daniel holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from McGill University.
