Jason du Preez
CEO and Co-founder, Privitar
Jason du Preez is the CEO and Co-Founder of Privitar, a leading data privacy platform for organisations using data for insight, selling to Fortune 500 companies.
Jason was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa. His career started in the UK as a software engineer but he quickly went on to setup his first start-up, m35, which later sold to Thomson Reuters.
He went on to setup Privitar, with co-founder John Taysom, as a mission-oriented start-up looking to enable the ethical and responsible use of data for good. Privitar’s platform is used today by leading organisations across a range of industries and geographies to protect sensitive data for analytics and insight. The company is VC-backed, having raised $150m today, and has grown rapidly with 190 people, and offices in London, Warsaw, New York, Boston, Austin and Paris.
