Ben also recently co-chaired EY’s LGBTQ+ employee network Unity and is a trustee of MindOut, a charity that provides mental health services to the LGBTQ+ community.

Prior to EY, Ben worked for the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and its predecessor, the Financial Services Authority (FSA), leading the internal and change communications team at the height of the financial crisis and through the regulator’s transformation. Alexander Maresch, EMEIA Financial Services Chief Marketing Officer at EY, comments: “I am delighted that Ben will be expanding his reach and leading our EMEIA internal comms and engagement team. Under Ben’s guidance the already high performing team will further build on successes and continue to drive a strong culture of open and engaging communication. Ben is a creative and trusted advisor with deep knowledge of the firm, and I very much look forward to working closer together as he provides strategic advice across our European business on how we can best communicate and engage our employee base.”

Ben Firth comments: “It would be challenging to think of a more crucial point in recent history for strong and engaging corporate communications. As all businesses navigate post-pandemic flexible working arrangements and more people than ever are working from home, it is the role of internal comms to ensure that people feel connected, informed and engaged. EY is known for its people-first culture, and I am excited to help maintain and grow our very high standards for colleagues across Europe.”
