EY expands thriving private tax practice with new Partner appointments

• Rodger Heeley appointed Partner in EY’s Management Taxes and Transactions (MTT) team

• Mike Reade promoted to Partner

• MTT at EY has more than doubled in size in the last three years and further significant market growth is expected

EY has appointed Rodger Heeley as a Partner in its Management Taxes and Transactions (‘MTT’) team, in addition to promoting Mike Reade's to Partner, representing a significant investment in the firm’s thriving private capital tax advisory practice. 

Rodger and Mike will join Partner Jo Quelch in leading MTT as part of EY Private, which focuses on servicing private businesses and their owners in the private capital sector.  

MTT at EY has more than doubled in size in the last three years and further significant market growth is expected as investors have committed more than $3trn of funds for new transactions globally, meaning clients require more and more support to handle both increased deal volume as well as navigate an ever-evolving tax environment. 

Rodger joins EY following 20 years at a big four competitor, where he initially worked as part of the private client group before focusing on advising on equity incentive arrangements in private businesses.  His clients range from company owners to senior management teams and the businesses themselves. He is a Chartered Tax Advisor and Fellow Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in advising on management incentive/equity plans, management and leveraged buy-outs, initial public offerings, as well as with venture capital and private equity transactions.  

Mike Reade's has been with EY since 2011. He has sixteen years of experience in advising management teams, private equity houses and corporate clients on the tax efficient structuring of transactions and management incentive arrangements. 

Rodger, Jo and Mike will work with UK Private Client Service Leaders Victoria Price and Jonathan Anderson to accelerate the growth of EY Private, collaborating closely with EY’s   International transactions tax group and global network, as well as boosting EY’s market-facing presence.
