Experienced law professional. Supports the energy and sustainability sectors. Married with three children. Enjoys skiing and mountain biking. Avid traveller.

Jean-Pascal is a legal professional, focussed on energy-related policies, regulations and commercial contracts on an international basis. He advises on the buying and selling of electricity, heat, biomethane and carbon credits — in all forms of renewable and conventional power projects.

He has extensive experience in providing guidance on the most appropriate contractual structure for energy projects dependent on the local regulations, including licencing regimes and renewable subsidies. He also advises on electric vehicle (EV) charging points, waste and biomass projects, battery projects, biogas conversion, grid-connection arrangements and energy efficiency as well as battery and afforestation projects.

Prior to joining the EY organisation, Jean-Pascal was the Head of Energy Regulation at a global law firm. He gathered over 17 years of experience there, helping funders, developers, customers and the public sector procure conventional and clean energy projects and waste management facilities — both in the UK and internationally.

How Jean-Pascal is building a better working world

“I am passionate about driving a more environmentally friendly future. In my role, I am helping businesses to become more sustainable — advising on different renewable-energy procurement solutions and structures to help their operations become environmentally friendly.

Outside of work, I am striving to make my house greener with underfloor heating and insulation, as well as photovoltaic (PV) and solar thermal panels. I am driven — both at work and at home — to find new solutions to help progress towards a low-carbon economy."
