What to expect at a Recruitment Day
Recruitment days and interviews may be held face to face, online or in a hybrid format. We’ll let you know what to expect when you receive your invitation.
Interview
We understand that interviews can feel a little nerve-wracking, but we’ll do our best to help you feel comfortable and confident. You’ll meet with one or two EY team members for a conversation that typically lasts between 45 and 60 minutes. During the interview, we’ll ask behavioural and motivational questions to better understand your experiences, values, and aspirations. We’re keen to learn how you approach challenges, collaborate with others, and what inspires you to join us. It’s a chance for us to get to know you - and for you to get to know us.
Group Activity
You’ll also take part in a group activity with two to four other students. You’ll be presented with a fictional case study inspired by real-life scenarios. There is no single correct answer. Instead, we’re interested in how your group collaborates, communicates and works together to explore the problem and reach a conclusion.
Networking
During the Recruitment Day, you might have the chance to connect with EY team members, from recent graduates to senior leaders. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and learn more about life here. Our people enjoy sharing their experiences and offering guidance, so come prepared to chat and make the most of the conversation.
If you're attending in person, you might also get a tour of the office. For a sneak peek at our spaces and culture, check out our social media channels for behind-the-scenes insights here www.instagram.com/ey_australia
