What is Infrastructure Advisory?

The Infrastructure Advisory (IA) team supports government decision-making through economic and financial analysis that addresses strategic policy reform and regulatory issues, including market reforms. We develop leading-edge strategies and business cases to support government investments and provide quality commercial and procurement advice across the transaction lifecycle, from go-to-market planning and industry engagement to financial close and beyond.

Within the IA team, you may be involved in major transport, renewable energy, health, human services, defence and international development projects.

What could you be doing?

  • Providing insightful commercial, economic, and strategic policy advice to a diverse client base, including government and private sector clients
  • Crafting clear, well-structured reports and presentations
  • Utilising analytical models to evaluate costs, benefits and impacts
  • Contributing to business development through proposals, pitches, thought leadership and other business development material
  • Playing a role in managing client engagements and presenting your analysis and findings
  • Fostering meaningful relationships across the EY organisation and with clients and industry professionals

Your career journey in Infrastructure Advisory

As a graduate, you’ll be part of our 12-month graduate development program that has been developed for graduates in all service lines, and is focused on connection, learning and celebration.

The program will provide you with the opportunity to network with your peers from other service lines and geographies. Running in parallel to your technical learning, you will develop leadership skills to become a successful graduate, and as you grow as a transformative leader.

As an Infrastructure Advisory graduate, you’ll take part in:-

  • The Infrastructure Advisory Academy learning program, which includes technical and sector-based training

As a vacationer, after our company induction, you’ll start developing an understanding of how our Infrastructure Advisory teams work and will be ready to work alongside teams on real client projects. You’ll meet other new vacationers from your office.

Your buddy and your counsellor will help you learn your way around the organisation, set your goals and plan your development while you’re here. You'll be well looked after with ongoing learning throughout the Vacationer Program with sessions facilitated by our Learning and Development team, Campus Recruitment team and service line specific training. The Vacationer Program is a great way to gain valuable audit experience, skills and networks to start building your career.
