What is Transaction Analytics?

The Transaction Analytics team works at the exciting crossroads of data analytics, business strategy and transaction advisory. You’ll combine technical know-how with commercial insight to help clients make smart decisions during major business transactions.

Using advanced data tools, we turn raw financial and operational data into clear, meaningful insights. We look beyond the numbers to understand what’s really driving changes in a business—like shifts in revenue, profitability or operations.

These insights are a key part of financial due diligence. They help our clients spot risks, confirm opportunities, and make confident, strategic choices.

What could you be doing?

  • Collaborate with a diverse range of EY clients from global private equity firms to large corporates
  • Support due diligence engagements for mergers, acquisitions, and divestments
  • Use leading-edge analytics tools to turn complex data into clear, actionable insights
  • Help assess businesses, and answer key commercial and investment questions

Your career journey in Transaction Analytics

As a graduate, you’ll be part of our 12-month graduate development program that has been developed for graduates in all service lines, and is focused on connection, learning and celebration.

The program will provide you with the opportunity to network with your peers from other service lines and geographies. Running in parallel to your technical learning, you will develop leadership skills to become a successful graduate, and as you grow as a transformative leader.

As a Transaction Analytics graduate, you’ll get:-

  • Opportunities to attend local and national lunch and learn sessions to hear from experienced professionals and expand your knowledge
  • Access the Transaction Diligence Accelerator Program
  • Support to pursue globally recognised qualifications like Chartered Accountant (CA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
  • Resources to earn technical certifications such as Alteryx Designer Core or Power BI 

As a vacationer, after our company induction, you’ll start developing an understanding of how our Transaction Analytics teams work and will be ready to work alongside teams on real client projects. You’ll meet other new vacationers from your office.

Your buddy and your counsellor will help you learn your way around the organisation, set your goals and plan your development while you’re here. You'll be well looked after with ongoing learning throughout the Vacationer Program with sessions facilitated by our Learning and Development team, Campus Recruitment team and service line specific training. The Vacationer Program is a great way to gain valuable audit experience, skills and networks to start building your career.
