Student programs

  • Do you offer internships or co-op opportunities?

We offer client-serving internships and co-op opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students. Our programs provide students with valuable learning and development while offering insight into the work we do across service lines. Learn more about our student programs and opportunities.

  • What responsibilities do interns/co-ops have?

With guidance and coaching from our professionals, interns and co-ops work on projects ranging from conducting internal control reviews on an audit to helping perform tax planning or even building a bot to help teams work more efficiently. They also hone important skills like presenting and networking, while learning how to care for their wellbeing. Just like our full-time professionals, internship and co-op students receive regular feedback, guidance and coaching to develop the skills they need to succeed.

Developing your career

  • How will I grow as a professional?

You’ll get lots of support from us and the kind of challenges that develop your skillset and mindset. We’ll work closely with you to understand your strengths and aspirations — then offer the right blend of experiences, learning and coaching to get you there.

  • How much say will I have in my own career progression?

At EY, the exceptional career experience is yours to build. Our NextWave Careers frameworks are organized around specific business capabilities, giving you the flexibility and guidance to plan, grow and thrive. We provide the culture, the tech, the teams, the scale, the challenges, the learning and the relationships for you to personalize your career as part of a truly transformative organization.

  • What kind of learning and development can I expect from EY?

Here you’ll never stop learning. We invest in our future by investing in our people, and believe that learning and development are key to building an exceptional career. Build new skills through our EY Badges program or EY Master’s programs, where you’ll receive formal training through a variety of approaches in the classroom and online, including on-demand learning. You’ll also learn through new experiences and on-the-job coaching and mentoring.

Life at EY

  • What are the typical hours in a work week?

At EY we work flexibly, and that looks different for everyone. Typical hours can depend on projects, client deadlines, time of year and more. By communicating regularly with your team, you’ll be able to understand expectations and plan your time effectively so you can manage work-life balance.

  • What do EY people wear at work?

Our office dress policy is business casual, which includes jeans. This means you can wear clothes that make you feel comfortable for the day you have planned. The exception to this rule is when you’re based at client sites, where the client’s dress code policy should be adopted.

  • EY supports lots of community-based initiatives. How can I get involved?

At EY, we put our purpose — building a better working world — at the heart of everything we do. A big part of that commitment is giving back to our communities. You’ll use your skills, knowledge and experience to support the next generation, advance environmental sustainability and work with impact entrepreneurs through EY Ripples, our global corporate responsibility platform.
