EY Canada is the recipient the 2021 Microsoft Canada Industry Innovation Impact Award. Microsoft’s annual Canadian awards recognize partners that have focused on bettering the lives of Canadians and demonstrated excellence in sales, marketing, skilling, innovation and implementation of customer solutions using Microsoft technology.

“As a Global Alliance partner, EY combines its insights and experience in disruptive industry trends, new business models and evolving processes with Microsoft’s scalable, enterprise cloud platform and digital technologies to enable companies to realize long-term value through end-to-end digital transformation,” says Alex Mohelsky, Data, Analytics and AI Leader and Microsoft Practice Leader at EY Canada. “We’re honoured that Microsoft has recognized our strength in developing unique, innovative solutions to create transformative change for our clients.”

The Industry Innovation Impact Award recognizes a partner that excels at delivering innovative, unique and seamless services and solutions — based on Microsoft technologies — to customers. The award was given to EY Canada for its success in responding to clients’ biggest challenges through Microsoft-powered solutions in cybersecurity, modern workplace, analytics and cloud financial reporting — including leveraging Microsoft Azure to deliver leading cloud solutions to energy clients.

“From demand volatility and rising costs to digital effectiveness and disruptive regulatory changes, Canadian energy companies face an increasing array of industry challenges and risks,” shares Lance Mortlock, EY Canada Energy Leader. “By working collaboratively with Microsoft, we’re able to create and deploy unique offerings that help companies — in energy and beyond — seize the potential of digital solutions to fast-track productivity, balance portfolios and set a clear roadmap for the future.”

“We are pleased to recognize EY Canada as this year’s recipient of the Industry Innovation Impact Award,” adds Suzanne Gagliese, Vice President, Global Partner Solutions, Microsoft Canada. “Amid a challenging year, our partners have demonstrated dedication to innovation and customer excellence by leveraging cutting-edge solutions to solve complex business challenges and overcome disruption.”

This acknowledgement is in addition to more than 15 Microsoft partner awards that EY has won globally over five consecutive years, for excellence and innovation in areas such as advisory services, digital technologies, analytics, AI and blockchain. This includes recent recognition for two Global Partner of the Year Awards 2021 for Global Advisory Services Partner of the Year and Global Power Apps and Power Automate Partner of the Year.
